I would like to know what the chances are that the PLTW core training for CIM will be running during the summer of 2017. Thanks

  2. Erin Jablonski says:

Bucknell is offering CIM this summer.

  3. Jeff Merz says:

Will DE not be offered this summer? It was originally on the list and was removed.

  4. Erin Jablonski says:

PLTW changed the way they assign course trainings this year. Unfortunately, Bucknell was not selected to offer DE training.

  5. Mary Hunt says:

Will ICS be offered at your institution this summer?

  6. Erin Jablonski says:

The Apps Creator course will be offered.
I think ICS is getting re-written.

  7. Ben Bertolet says:

Is it possible to receive graduate credit for CEA?

  8. Erin Jablonski says:

We plan to offer the option to seek graduate credit for all PLTW 2-week trainings being held at Bucknell.

  9. Bryan Hower says:

When will we be able to register for summer core training. I am interested in the CSP course. Our district is asking for us to submit information for summer training.

  10. Matt says:

Where are the costs for 2017 core training posted?
    Lodging, meals, tuition

  11. Erin Jablonski says:

    For 2017:
    2 week training tuition = $2400
    1 week training tuition = $1200
    3-day training tuition = $750
Breakfast at hotel, lunch provided on site, dinner vouchers provided.
Each night of hotel is $100

  12. Where is the hotel information for Core Training
    CEA – July 24-August 4?

  13. Jim says:

What hotel do PLTW students stay in during training for Summer 2017?

  14. Erin Jablonski says:

We have a few local hotels that we use (Comfort Suites, Hampton Inn, etc.) We group the teachers into their hotels by training course, so that it is easier to work on homework and with the master teachers together in the evenings.

  15. Jason Geist says:

I am planning on attending the CEA course this summer and I am requesting the finances for the training. Is the $100 a night for hotel included in the $2400 for tuition? I just need to know if I need to request $2400 or $3400 from my district. Thank you.

  16. Erin Jablonski says:

Lodging at $100/night is separate from $2400 tuition.

  17. Greg Sauline says:

I read the earlier comment about hotels. I am wondering if you know yet which hotel the PLTW students in Computer Science Principles will be staying? Also, do we need to let the hotel know when we make the reservation that we are there for the PLTW training at Bucknell?

  18. Erin Jablonski says:

We will know which hotel is assigned to which courses in mid-July once registrations are complete. Your reservation will be made for you, so you do not need to make any hotel reservation.

  19. Hi, We are sending at least 2 instructors your way and need to talk to someone in your billing department to be able to arrange for payment. Can you send it to me vial email? Thank you

  20. Erin Jablonski says:

All inquiries to will be answered by Erin Jablonski or Erin Eberle.

  21. Amanda Bowen says:

When will we receive confirmation that our hotel has been booked?

  22. Erin Jablonski says:

If you have registered for training and requested lodging, your hotel has been booked.
We notify everyone about which hotel they will be staying at when we are closer to training and have final numbers for each class.

  23. Mike Koch says:

Is the vouchers for dinner included in the tuition costs or extra?

  24. Erin Jablonski says:

The vouchers for dinner are included in the cost of tuition.

  25. Ron Contrady says:

Can someone forward the link for registration? Looking at the July-August Computer Science Principals professional development.

    Thank you,
